BLEASS Sidekick combines a kick drum synth, a step sequencer, and a ducker (sidechain compressor), offering a distinctive approach to infuse intriguing rhythmic dynamics into your music.
The kick drum synth features an analogue-style engine inspired by vintage beatboxes, enabling the effortless creation of a wide array of classic analogue kick drum tones. Triggered by the built-in 16-step sequencer or external MIDI input, this synth's sound can be blended with the audio passing through the plugin, used to trigger the plugin's ducker stage, or a combination of both.
When utilized independently of the ducker, BLEASS Sidekick simplifies the process of integrating custom kick parts into loops and other percussive elements.
Introducing the ducker causes the input signal to diminish in volume upon each trigger of the kick synth. Utilizing this with a drum loop allows for manipulation of the loop's underlying feel and beat, suppressing its kick sound and pattern to be replaced with tailored elements.
One of BLEASS Sidekick's notable features is utilizing the kick synth and sequencer solely as a trigger for the ducker. This method enables the creation of intricate dynamic rhythms within any segment or track, be it an individual instrument or an entire mix.
The plugin supports AUv3 compatibility, offers Multi-Bus output within AUM, and features MIDI input.
